Came through the youth ranks at Torquay United and made his debut for the first team at the age of 17. Spent five years at Plainmoor, making in excess of 160 appearances but was released in 2002 and spent the next five seasons with Weymouth with the exception of a 2-match spell with Exeter City. Tully rejoined Exeter in 2007 and over the course of the next six years he made over 250 appearances for the Grecians. Upon his release he joined Tiverton in August 2013, but his stay at Ladysmead was fractious and after just eleven games he moved on to Truro City where, in March 2014, he was appointed manager.
