Left sided defender who learnt his trade as part of the fine Exeter City Academy squad before playing for Clyst Valley, moving to Willand Rovers in 2012, then making the switch to Ladysmead in the summer of 2013. His inauguration into the team was not entirely convincing but he grew into the demands of Southern League football and the second half of his first season at the club saw Long become a most dependable part of the team. He made the switch to Truro City for the 2013/14 season.
