A proven track record in the Western League failed to translate into any meaningful success at Tiverton, and Edwards' arrival wasn't met with much enthusiasm as he was signed in a swap-deal with fan's favourite Richard Pears who made the switch to Mangotsfield United. Twenty appearances over the course of two part-seasons later and Edwards moved to Yate Town and then Bath City where he would regain his scoring touch.
