A Second half strike from Dominic Richardson earned injury plagued Tivvy a fully deserved point. In form Hinckley started brightly as they looked to extend a six game unbeaten run. They forced four corners in the opening minutes and Jamie Lenton twice came close to scoring in the opening 15 minutes.
Tivvy Always looked dangerous from corners but it was Hinckley who broke the deadlock a minute from the interval when Dave Sadler´s shot from a tight angle was deflected past Paul Edwards by stand in Darren Cann‚ temporarily signed from Taunton. Hinckley should have extended their lead seven minutes into the second half‚ but Paul Tatterton made a brilliant goal saving tackle against Garry Ricketts. Dominic Richardson got Tivvy´s equalliser on the hour. He broke down the right flank and cut inside the area before sending an unstoppable drive into the bottom corner of the net.
"Dominic is a typical striker doing a job at the back" said Martyn Rogers‚ who was disappointed with the defensive blunder that led to Sadler´s shooting opportunity. "He (Dominic) tried to play his way out of trouble and got caught for their goal‚ being dissposessed on the half way line. But he again made amends with a cracking equaliser" said Martyn Rodgers.
Richard Pears came close to hero status when he almost snatched a late winner in the dying minutes.
Line up: Edwards‚ Richardson‚ Saunders‚ Tatterton‚ Cann‚ Rogers‚ Nancekivell‚ Pears‚ Varley‚ Daly‚ Everett.
Subs: Vinnicombe‚ Steele‚ Grimshaw‚ not used.
